VoiceCloud Offers Twitter Audio Messages in Egypt

By Raja Singh Chaudhary, TMCnet Contributor

VoiceCloud, a provider of comprehensive cloud-based Private Branch Exchange (PBX (News - Alert)) phone solutions, has introduced a new service that will help its customers in Egypt get their Twitter messages heard and read.

They will be able to access this service from any mobile or landline throughout Egypt without requiring an Internet connection. The company offers both software and live Vvoicemail transcription services for cell phones and office phones, including the VoiceCloud (News - Alert) All-In-One Cloud-Based PBX Phone Solution that provides voicemail to text transcription service with almost 99% accuracy and enhanced scalability.

“By utilizing our existing VCloud VCX platform, we have acquired numbers in Bahrain, the U.K. and the U.S.,” commented Gerald Marolda (News - Alert), chief executive officer at VoiceCloud. “We utilize a speak-to-tweet service, via these special international numbers. This enables people in Egypt to tweet in Arabic or English by placing a simple phone call. Our Live Voicemail to Text Agents translate and transcribe the messages then post the text and audio to the Twitter handle http://twitter.com/egyptianvoices.”

Those in Egypt can make a call to one of a few international numbers to access the new service by VoicCloud. These numbers are +97316199857, from Bahrain, +441524488013, from the U.K. or +16199004859, from the United States.

“With our improved method, the text can be read and key word searched, unlike a simple audio file,” said Sammy Afifi, chief technical officer at VoiceCloud. “Because VoiceCloud employs Live Transcription and Translation Agents, instead of Voice Recognition Software, the messages are extremely accurate.”

In order to read or hear the posts, one can visit here. The company has been working at introducing a new page at http://voicecloud.com/egypt, where the people will be able to read messages that are beyond the 140-character Twitter limit.

“We hope this will help the people in Egypt to have their voices seen and heard throughout the world,” added Marolda.

In November 2010, VoiceCloud launched a premier phone service called VCX, which is a highly customized open phone system that provides customers with the ability to control the way they receive incoming telephone calls.
