Legiant Mobile IVR Solution Tracks Employee Location and Attendance

By Stefanie Mosca, TMCnet Web Editor

Legiant, provider of time and attendance systems has taken its Interactive Voice Response “IVR” technology to the next level: mobile. Its new IVR solution will benefit companies with employees working from the road or in remote locations by using GPS tracking on their mobile devices.

According to iNews Connect, IVR allows employees to clock-in, transfer departments, and credit work hours directly to Legiant Timecard through the use of any standard telephone or mobile phone. The new GPS Transaction feature is available on most Android, BlackBerry (News - Alert) and iPhone™ smartphones.

With employees using the IVR solution, companies will have the ability to track the location of their employees to see where an employee is calling from, and how long he or she has been there. According to iNews, the map can also pinpoint the location of landline phones, to help administrators verify when employees have clocked in at preset locations, such as a main office building or warehouse.

“Our time and attendance solutions have always been focused on enhancing visibility and increasing usability,” said Walter Ross, CEO of Legiant. “The GPS Transaction feature meets both criteria by providing supervisors and administrators an easy way to verify that employees have clocked in at the correct location. Using our IVR system with GPS technology offers peace of mind and improved productivity.”

According to a recent TMC (News - Alert) report, Legiant Express does not require any servers or software to be installed on the customers’ network since it is available as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)). Due to the use of SaaS, it can be setup quickly and with less effort. Moreover, Legiant Express is designed to work on any web browser, including Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari. Legiant Express also supports a variety of data collection devices, including badge readers, biometric scanners, IVR/telephony, and mobile devices.

“Legiant Express is ideal for organizations that are ready to automate their time and attendance processes immediately,” said Walter Ross, CEO of Legiant, in a recent press release.“Whether a company has five employees or five thousand, our experience has been that usability and functionality are the most critical factors. We are excited to offer a solution that meets both challenges while being very cost-effective.”
