Algo Communications IVR Product 8180 SIP Audio Alerter Proud to Announce Avaya Compliance

Algo Communication Products Ltd., a developer of telecom and IVR products, revealed that its 8180 SIP Audio Alerter is compliant with Avaya (News - Alert) Inc.’s Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) solutions. Paul Zoehner, managing director of Algo Communication Products, claimed that Algo continues to develop compatible hardware and software solutions for Nortel (News - Alert) Enterprise Solutions and is happy to now include Avaya, a global leader in enterprise communications systems, software and services.


The 8180 provides businesses with the opportunity to communicate more effectively with employees and customers, by implementing the SIP-based audio alerting for loud ringing, voice paging, event notification, and customer assistance. As a compliant member of the Avaya DevConnect (News - Alert) program, an initiative for developing and selling third-party products to interoperate with Avaya technology, Algo Communication Products Ltd., can market the IVR product compatible with Avaya Aura Session Manager Release 6.0, Avaya Aura Communication Manager Release 6.0, Avaya Communication Server 1000 Release 7.0, and Avaya IP Office Release 6.0.

In a press release, Zoehner commented, "Compliance testing provides assurance to Algo and Avaya customers that we have invested the time and resources to ensure reliable interoperability with Avaya products. Open standards like SIP create enormous potential for integrated solutions to improve business communication and customer satisfaction.” 

Algo, as an elite member in the program at the Platinum level, is eligible to submit products for compatibility testing to the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab. Avaya engineers will then develop a comprehensive test plan for each application, verifying whether it is truly compliant. In a statement, Eric Rossman, vice president of developer relations for Avaya, said, "The SIP endpoints being developed by Algo and their commitment to Avaya will enable some interesting application possibilities for Avaya customers."

Recently, Altura Communication (News - Alert) Solutions a provider of voice communications, data infrastructure, and product solutions and services announced that it has been certified at the Platinum level based on the 2011 Avaya Connect Channel Partner (News - Alert) Program requirements.

According to company sources, this certification means that Altura is among a select group of Avaya’s U.S.-based channel partners that have gained the highest levels of training certification and revenue attainment, as specified by Avaya.

The rigorous requirements specified by Avaya serve to assure customers that certified partners like Altura Communication Solutions are highly skilled solution providers. It authenticates their capability in designing, implementing and maintaining innovative systems for real-time communications and business collaboration.
