Lyrix Unveils New Cloud-Based Speech Assistant Solution to Metaswitch Customers
By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor
Lyrix, a provider of enterprise focused software-as-a-service (SaaS (News - Alert)) solutions, announced the launch of a new cloud-based Speech Assistant to Metaswitch customers.
Dubbed Mobiso, the cloud-based speech assistant provides organizations with a high-quality, low cost speech based auto attendant and helps them escape the: "Please spell the name - last name first” type caller experience that organizations have been subjected to in the past, company officials said.
Lyrix has been offering the Speech Assistant to large enterprise market as well as white labeling its solution to high end IP-PBX (News - Alert) vendors and hosted VoIP service providers. Deploying premise -based speech applications is not feasible for most SMBs, so the company decided to offer the enterprise-quality solution as a hosted service at a very attractive price with minimal operational support required.
The product has been re-architected under the Mobiso brand name to be a massively multi-tenant cloud-based SaaS offering, providing Lyrix partners with same day service activation and unlimited scalability, company officials said.
“By making our Speech Assistant service available as a pure hosted offering we are taking the guesswork out of selling and deploying a world-class, enterprise-proven speech enabled auto attendant (SEAA),” said Stewart Hampton, marketing director at Lyrix, in a statement. “In combination with our professional services package, we enable our Metaswitch customers to build business and increase revenues. It is simple to implement, easy-to-use, flexible and priced right.”
The solution enables Metaswitch customers to add speech recognition capability to their powerful cloud-based auto attendant, making it even easier for callers to reach the right contact.
“When it comes deploying VoIP services, our customers are always looking for ways to improve their subscribers’ experience while reducing operational complexity and expense,” said Ken Cavanaugh, director of business development for Metaswitch, in a statement.
With this solution, callers using mobile phones or Bluetooth devices now have a simpler way to interact with auto attendants, which creates a better caller experience, according to company officials.
At the Metaswitch Forum 2011, Lyrix is offering a promotion to new Metaswitch service provider partners that use Metaswitch gear. Service providers can trial Mobiso at no cost for 90 days during which time they can provide Mobiso to their customers as well.
Recently Lyrix announced it has showcased the Mobiso Speech Assistant on the GENBAND (News - Alert) GENApps website alongside other high value business applications.
