Retail and supply chain professionals and experts will participate at RedPrairie’s 14th annual user conference, RedShift: 2011, to learn, interact and discuss today's business practices, strategies and technology required to meet today's fast-paced and ever-changing world.
The conference will take place from May 16 - 19, at The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, AZ.
In a press release, Chris Sweeney, SVP of Lucas Systems noted, “RedShift offers a great opportunity for RedPrairie customers to see the latest innovations in warehouse and distribution center technologies.
Jennifer VoicePlus will be featured by Lucas Systems, Inc., the premier provider of voice-directed warehouse applications at the conference.
Flexible new voice picking capabilities with pre-defined integration is added by Jennifer VoicePlus to RedPrairie WM, which gives users all the benefits of next-generation voice and multi-modal applications, without the limitations of first-generation voice-only hardware and software.
“Voice picking is an increasingly important tool for retailers, wholesale distributors, and a range of other companies with large-scale warehouse and distribution operations,” said Gary Morgan, VP of Technology and Innovation for RedPrairie.
“With Jennifer VoicePlus, RedPrairie WMS customers will get the full productivity and accuracy advantages of next-generation voice recognition technology running on industry standard hardware devices. In addition to providing maximum operations benefit when adding voice to a WMS, we are also able to drive a lower total cost of ownership by using the same mobile hardware for voice-directed and non-voice RF tasks.”
In related news, Lucas Systems, Inc has announced that it has entered into a reseller agreement with RedPrairie, a leading provider of warehouse management systems.
