Mobile Operators offered License-free IVR Test Clients

By Calvin Azuri, TMCnet Contributor

License-free test clients for IVR Visual Voicemail (VVM) are being offered to all mobile operators by Communology (News - Alert).

These test clients can be used for internal test and demos by the companies. Server configurations required for implementing VVM services on their networks can also be effectively ascertained by companies using these test clients.

Android and Symbian (News - Alert) are the two platforms which are favored by the mobile operators. VVM test apps for these two platforms are provided by Communology. Open Mobile Terminal Platform or OMTP (News - Alert) is a global alliance of important telecommunications groups and mobile device manufacturers. The recommendations of OMTP are complied by these apps.

Interoperable with voicemail systems of top providers, the mobile Visual Voicemail software from Communology is used around the world. The time to market of the VVM services is significantly reduced with Communology’s license-free test software.

In a release, Thomas Kähler, CEO of Communology said, “Existing voicemail services no longer meet the requirements of high-end users and it comes as no surprise that Visual Voicemail is becoming increasingly popular. Anyone who has seen VVM on a friend’s iPhone (News - Alert) wants to use it as well. Mobile operators are faced with the challenge of introducing VVM as quickly as possible and adapting existing server systems. We launched our license-free test apps with exactly that in mind.”

An easy-to-user user interface is provided by VVM for processing voicemail. Directly on the mobile devices, messages can be downloaded and managed. With just a push of a button, these messages can be answered with VVM. Similar to SMS and email, users can decide which message to listen first. This is not like the conventional network-based voicemail boxes. Users can also decide the length of time for storing a message.

Communology’s successful applications portfolio also includes LiveMedia Visual Voicemail. Solutions for instant messaging, mobile TV and rich phone book are provided by LiveMedia. LiveMedia solutions are also available for social networking, infotainment and mobile marketing.

Communology is a company which specializes in mobile application development. Carrier-grade mobile client applications for personal communication on multiple platforms are provided by Communology which operates around the world.
