West Interactive Enhances IVR Platform with TuVox Acquisition

Hosted and managed automated customer contact solutions provider, West Interactive has announced the recent acquisition of TuVox (News - Alert), a provider of on-demand speech and IVR solutions. TuVox is known for the creation of a unique and agile development methodology for speech applications that will produce a superior caller experience in less time and with less risk when detailed requirements are difficult to specify in advance.


 “TuVox collaborates closely with our clients throughout the development process,” said Mark Lazar (News - Alert), CEO of TuVox, in a statement. “We find this allows us to better understand their fundamental business needs and respond with creative solutions that produce great results from the start.”To construct applications, TuVox uses proprietary tools that will address all aspects of the application lifestyle. The tool set includes such features as support for leading VoiceXML (News - Alert) platforms, a replaceable runtime component and a multi-tenanted administration console for configuration and reporting. With the addition of the TuVox offerings to the West Interactive (News - Alert) Hosted IVR platform, the company is able to enhance the current best-in-class applications that are designed to optimize business results for clients.

 “We are extremely impressed with the TuVox staff and their ability to rapidly deploy a high-quality application even when clients had difficulty articulating their precise requirements,” said Pam Mortenson, President of West Interactive. “We believe this capability combined with our best-in-class platform and scale will create a truly unique solution that will be particularly beneficial when working with clients on cutting-edge applications,” added Mortenson.

According to company officials, results from TuVox are not expected to have a material impact on its 2010 financial results.In other West Interactive news, the company is driving insight with its new Insight Customer Intelligence customer survey solution that is powered by MarketTools’ CustomerSat enterprise feedback management (EFM) product.Last week, the company announced a partnership with MarketTools, Inc., a provider of software and services for Enterprise Feedback Management (EFM) and market research. This partnership is designed to offer Insight Customer Intelligence, West Interactive's customer survey solution.Insight Customer Intelligence enables contact centers to boost customer loyalty and business results with powerful survey capabilities and analytics that turn customer feedback into immediate, actionable results.
