Ringio Delivers CRM and Telephony Functionality to Enterprises

By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributor

Ringio has launched a new service that brings small- and mid-sized businesses combined CRM and telephony functionally that have only been available through enterprise-level telephony systems and contact centers until now.

Ringio's cloud-based Rich Calling service was put forward at the Emerging Communications Conference & Awards (eComm 2010). The new offering presents calls along with their relative details, either through the mobile version of the service, which has been released for Android (News - Alert)-based smart phones, or the desktop client of the service.

The Ringio team created Rich Calling as a software as a service (SaaS) with the focus on simplicity of set up, affordability and sophisticated presentation on the screen's of the users - both on desktop and mobile devices. Users can set up Ringio in just minutes and it works on their current phones without a need for additional hardware or software.

Also, part of the services is the smart call-routing technology from Ringio which at the start, helps guide the caller to the right employee in the organization. If that employee needs to transfer the caller to a co-worker, she can immediately tell if that co-worker is available at that time.

Ringio is also releasing its own integrated call-control and screen-pop client for Mac, PC or Linux. As users handle calls, they can view and add to a company store of customer information about contacts through the client. By the use of Contacts database from Google, Ringio automatically retrieves and synchronizes records built. Plans are also in progress to integrate Ringio with a hosted CRM package, Salesforce.com (News - Alert), later this summer.

The price of the service starts at $99 per month for four users, plus $25 per month for additional users. The service will directly be provided through www.ringio.com to customers.
