Madison, Wisc.-based provider of billing, OSS, and customer acquisition solutions for communications service providers CustomCall (News - Alert) Data Systems has announced that i’s TRS Ordering and Gateway (News - Alert) Solution now supports the new XML version for the 22-state AT&T region. The company has upgraded its hosted and on-site clients with the new release. The new version will allow CLECs to transition from EDI to XML before the March 19, 2010 deadline. Carriers can also avail the option of bonding to AT&T’s OSS for all of their 22-state territory without having to establish dedicated data connectivity to the ILEC.
“This release will allow customers to benefit from improved features and increased functionality in this new version,” said Kevin Williams, executive vice president of CustomCall. “Companies will now be able to process Pre-Order and Ordering transactions using the latest XML version, and eliminating the need to order a dedicated circuit to AT&T means we can get them in production much faster and with less cost.”
“During these times in the CLEC industry, companies are searching for more cost efficient and quicker means of acquiring customers and they have found it with the TRS application with its integration into the CustomCall billing and OSS solutions,” Williams added.
CustomCall serves all segments of the communications marketplace including cable, Internet, wireless, CLECs, local and long distance companies, VoIP, and IPTV (News - Alert) service providers. An all-inclusive Ordering and Gateway solution, TRS can be used by any provider interacting with regional telecom providers, including telecommunications resellers, competitive local CLECs, cable, and VoIP providers. It employs standard interfaces currently in use by incumbent providers such as AT&T, BellSouth, Fairpoint, McLeod/Paetec, One Communications (News - Alert), Qwest, Verizon East, and Verizon West.
Recently, the company entered into a strategic partnership agreement with CCI (News - Alert) Systems, under which CCI Systems will introduce CustomCall Data System’s products and services to the tier two and three cable operator space.
