Burlington, Mass.-based speech and imaging solutions provider Nuance Communications, Inc. has announced that AT&T (News - Alert) has selected Nuance’s Voicemail to Text platform.
TMCnet recently reported that Nuance’s (News - Alert) platform is also powering Voicemail-to-Text Service from Vonage.
Days ago, AT&T launched its Voicemail to Text service for $9.99 a month. The service converts English and Spanish language wireless voicemail messages to text and delivers them via SMS, e-mail or both. Subscribers enjoy a great deal of convenience and flexibility in accessing, filing and replying to mobile voicemail.
“Our service was built with carriers like AT&T and their subscribers in mind – an incredibly reliable and scalable voicemail to text infrastructure, and a valuable and easy-to-use service for mobile consumers,” said Michael Thompson (News - Alert), senior vice president, Nuance Mobile.
Tailored to fulfill the dynamic communications requirements of carriers, Nuance’s Voicemail to Text platform delivers innovative messaging capabilities, Nuance reps said. It is powered by Dragon Naturally Speaking, a speech-recognition engine, and the company’s comprehensive hosted transcription services.
Nuance Communications, Inc. serves businesses and consumers globally by providing them a range of speech and imaging solutions. Through its technologies, applications and services, Nuance makes things better for millions of users and thousands of businesses.
