IXIASOFT Enters into Strategic Partnership with XML-INTL
By Anil Sharma, TMCnet Contributor
IXIASOFT, a provider of XML content management software to organizations worldwide, has entered into a strategic technology partnership with XML-INTL, a major player in XML-based translation technology. XML-INTL is also the developer of the XMT Suite, a translation set of tools.
By integrating the company’s DITA CMS with the XML-INTL XTM Suite, IXIASOFT customers will benefit from a fully integrated translation management suite, which will further enhance their control over the localization process, IXIASOFT officials said.
Additionally, the DITA CMS is a content management system aimed at technical communicators for the efficient authoring, management and publishing of DITA-based technical documentation.
The tight integration between the two offerings will allow users to seamless move their content from the CMS to the translation management tools and always have access to updated localized content. As a result, organizations will be able to maximize their reuse strategy and continue to drive down localization costs.
“We are excited about our partnership with XML-INTL and feel that this new translation module is a natural extension of the DITA CMS,” Eric Bergeron, president of IXIASOFT, said.
And, Bergeron said that the company strongly believes that their cutting-edge translation management technology - namely the translation memory and the terminology management tools - will appeal to many of the customers who wish to streamline their localization process.
“We are proud to be working with IXIASOFT and are pleased that they trusted our technology for their customers,” Elliot Nedas, business development manager, at XML-INTL, said.
Nedas said that managing localized content directly from within the DITA CMS makes perfect sense as it improves content reuse and ensures an efficient delivery of translated content.
In September, IXIASOFT announced that TruePosition (News - Alert), Inc., a provider of wireless location technologies and solutions, has selected its DITA CMS solution to manage their enterprise product documentation.
