Voice Commerce has reportedly introduced iVoiceTransact Application Programming Interface, which lets organisations easily access its VoiceTransact Trust Centers.

 

The VoiceTransact Trust Center is Voice Commerce’s core operating platform and network, providing voice-based identification, verification and payment services. Company officials said that the Trust Center stores voice signatures that help an individual’s identity be validated and authenticated in real time anywhere using any type of telephone device.

 

With the help of the latest offering, organisations, such as banks, telecommunications operators and businesses -- requiring identity and verification, with optional payment processing -- can evaluate and verify the benefits to their own customers of using voice-signature authentication.

 

Company officials said that the API enables the Voice Transact Services to be integrated into any business process. Also, during a free two-week trial, customers can evaluate the time and cost savings that the use of voice-signature based identity authentication via VoiceTransact can bring.

 

Nick Ogden, CEO at Voice Commerce Group, said that Identity security and payment fraud remain two of the biggest concerns facing businesses and consumers today. He said that by simplifying access to the VoiceTransact Trust Center and allowing organizations to trial voice-based authentication within their processes for two weeks, Voice Commerce will be able to “clearly demonstrate the security, cost and customer service benefits that voice-based authentication brings.”

 

The company is offering businesses the opportunity to use the Voice Transact platform and integrate it into their existing business with a two week licence. Company officials said that it does not require additional investment in systems and the interface is pre-integrated with the VISA, MasterCard and American Express (News - Alert) payment networks.

 

Voice Commerce is a regulated Financial Service Group, which operates and delivers mobile financial, payment, identity and verification services and solutions to consumers and businesses.

 

In other news, the company in January acquired Perpetual Payments, a London-based specialist merchant services card processing business.
