By Jayashree Adkoli, TMCnet Contributor

T3 Telecom Software, a provider of innovative telephony solutions, reportedly has unveiled its new voice control product, so called “T3 Voice Control,” enabling users with voice-activated voicemail.

According to company officials, the T3 Voice Control provides hands-free access to organization voicemail and facilitates users to perform multi-step processes using natural language commands.

With the help of this new voice control product, a user can speak verbal commands to send messages, review messages as well as set personal options instead of making use of the traditional/standard touch tone key presses on the telephone keypad.

The user can either make use of this voice-enabled front-end to the T3 voice messaging system in addition to, or in place of, the traditional touch tone, thereby turning standard touchtone voicemail into a voice-activated experience.

With the majority of T3 voicemail is now speech enabled, the user is able to jump to almost any area of voicemail from the main menu or the subscriber's menu.

Apart from general voice-activation features for setting the day of the week or date, T3 Voice Control also provides users with multiple options to address a message by speaking a name, mailbox number or group number. In addition, user can also set a time/date stamp for a wake-up call or future delivery message.

Yaniv Livneh, CEO of T3 Telecom Software, said that the reliability and quality of speech recognition has now reached enterprise grade applications at an affordable cost.

“T3 Voice Control is a major step forward in simplifying voice messaging and personal availability processes (such as presence and find me/follow me) as it allows the user to perform multi-step processes using natural language commands,” Livneh said.

Users of T3 voice messaging system can now review new and saved voice, email and fax messages all by voice commands. In addition, users can also voice control save, delete, reply to, redirect and repeat messages along with sending messages internally and externally using T3 Voice Control.

T3 Voice Control also enables users to access directory assistance, control speed and volume, set message notifications, set up group lists and sends messages to groups, set up call screening and access new user set up, all using voice commands.

Tom Porter, executive vice president and chief operation officer of Aumtech, said that Aumtech provided its MRCP Connector. Now, T3 Telecom Software is able to capitalize on it, thereby allowing them to provide their customers with speech recognition and text-to-speech capabilities for less than 5 percent of the cost of similar high-quality ASR and TTS solutions.
