HulloMail Introduces Its Blackberry Application
By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor
HulloMail, a hybrid of voicemail and email communications technology, is reportedly being offered as Blackberry application.
The new service will provide users with the benefits of a fully integrated voice-email service, company officials said.
Andy Munarriz, founder and CEO of HulloMail, thinks HulloMail is the future of voicemail technology.
“Today’s busy consumers, who have access to the latest communications tools in every other area of their mobile life, don’t want their voicemails to be hidden in a black box on a network to which they have no direct access,” Munarriz said.
According to Munarriz, with this new Blackberry app, users can easily track and manage their messages in a common inbox where they can personally handle them in a streamlined manner whenever they want to.
HulloMail converts voicemails to digital MP3 files, which can be saved, emailed or shared. This facility offers wireless users the quickest and the easiest way to manage their voicemail communications from virtually any mobile device, standard landline phone or email account, regardless of the selected operator.
Users will be able to enjoy the convenience of receiving and playing voice-emails directly from their inbox. They will be notified of any missed calls even in areas with no or limited mobile reception.
HulloMail also includes standard features such as list/media playback, sender call back, push notification, full syncing capabilities with IMAP 4 accounts and integration with Google (News - Alert) contacts or local phone contacts, email account configuration, greeting and password configuration and other user interface benefits to streamline easy access to and management of received voice-emails.
More importantly, the HulloMail service works with a user’s existing mobile number, offering them the benefits of an additional service without the expense of changing their mobile number.
This new Blackberry application is available as free download from HulloMail. The service is currently offered for new and existing users of Blackberry Bold, Blackberry Tour, and Blackberry Curve 8900 models.
HulloMail was released in the United States on July 4 and, by that date, had already become a buzz in the United Kingdom, according to reports.
“We believe that ‘voice-email’ will lead to a true rebirth of voicemail and we are extremely excited about the future of this technology,” Munarriz said.
The company is planning to roll out HulloMail service in additional devices, including the iPhone (News - Alert), later this fall.
