Keynote Systems, a provider of on-demand mobile and Internet test and measurement solutions, announced its Mobile Competitive Monitoring & Analysis (MCMA) service. This is a new subscription-based service is designed to benchmark the performance of mobile services like SMS, MMS, Data Throughput, WAP and streaming.
MCMA enables wireless carriers, aggregators, infrastructure providers and enterprise companies to stay ahead of competitors by establishing performance standards. MCMA helps them to take remedial action when required so that they are always proactive.
Keynote said that it released this service as part of its endeavor to provide its mobile test and measurement customers optimum solutions for managing and improving the mobile experience of end users.
“In the mobile world, establishing and maintaining the highest standards of service performance is of paramount importance in building and retaining customer loyalty,” said Vik Chaudhary, the company’s vice president of product management and corporate development, in a statement. “Keynote Mobile Competitive Monitoring & Analysis delivers unmatched insight into the mobile performance issues and trends of the popular mobile data services that matter today and those that will drive revenue growth in the future.”
The MCMA service is most suitable for customers who need complete details regarding the strengths and weaknesses of the competition. It offers reliable data which can be used by wireless carriers, aggregators, infrastructure providers and enterprise companies to maintain service levels according to the requirements of customers and partners. MCMA provides accurate mobile performance data from the end user perspective.
Further, the company’s global on-demand test and measurement network collects the data included in every MCMA report. The Keynote consulting team then analyzes the data and creates concise summary reports for each customer. Consultants also interpret the data for customers and guide them to achieve service level standards, the company said.
MCMA service includes Intra-carrier SMS, which gives ongoing performance data and analysis for SMS messages initiated and terminated on mobile devices of the same carrier; the Inter-carrier SMS performs similarly, but between different carriers. Meanwhile, Intra-carrier MMS gives details of MMS sent between same carriers and Inter-carrier MMS for MMSs is sent between different carriers.
The service also includes Data Throughput, which gives insight into the fluctuations of uplink and downlink throughput on 3G networks as captured from air cards. WAP performance data and analysis of top WAP sites is also provided along with streaming-in-depth perspective into performance of streaming services on mobile devices across different carrier networks.
The monthly MCMA subscription offers trend analysis and troubleshooting capabilities to customers who can easily resolve issues and also benefit from real-time access to selected data, which can be viewed anytime on the user-friendly MyKeynote portal, Keynote said.
