Ifbyphone enters into Partnership with Network Communications

By Anil Sharma, TMCnet Contributor

Ifbyphone has announced its first cloud telephony services partnership with Network Communications of Longview, Texas, to provide advanced telephone automation applications to business customers.

Network Communications is a player in telecommunications, delivering telecommunications services to the Longview, Texas area marketplace.

Irv Shapiro, CEO and founder of Ifbyphone (News - Alert), said that they have an excellent understanding of their SMB customers’ needs and quickly recognized that the company’s services would meet them.

“Network Communications is the kind of forward-thinking and customer-oriented carrier that we believe all SMB customers should select for their telephony needs,” said Shapiro.

Ifbyphone is actively discussing additional carrier partnerships, according to Shapiro.
According to Ifbyphone officials Network Communications is connected to the company through Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert) (SIP) trunking, and is utilizing that “cloud connection” to provide Ifbyphone services to its customers.

“We took the pulse of our customers and looked across the marketplace for solutions that would allow us to grow revenue and satisfy our customers,” said Gary Honeycutt, director of Network Operations at Network Communications.

Honeycutt said that Ifbyphone offers a tremendous set of telephone automation services that are easy for SMB customers to deploy and use, and they offered the company a flexible pricing model that was very attractive.

He said that the company has already begun selling the new services to the SMB customers under its brand, and the customers are delighted.

Ifbyphone officials said that in April 2009, the company began offering carriers the opportunity to provide advanced, ‘cloud telephony’ applications to their customers at a level of investment that removes previous barriers to entry.

Through the program, officials said all carriers - including CLECs, ILECs, hosted PBX (News - Alert) companies, and cable multi-system operators (MSOs) - can now connect to Ifbyphone and expand their service offerings to include features like full-function IVR, Call Tracking and “Find Me” Call Forwarding, and complete applications such as Voice Broadcasting, Store Locator, and Lead Distributor.

Ifbyphone provides businesses a suite of phone automation services to enhance customer conversations, drive sales and lower costs.

Leveraging Ifbyphone's easy-to-use services, business users, marketers and developers can create solutions ranging from simple call routing solutions to advanced interactive voice response systems.

In March Ifbyphone had announced its first BlackBerry application—conference calling and voice-broadcast messaging combined in a free download—enhancing the functionality of the popular communications devices from Research In Motion (RIM).
