Voxeo, a provider of standards-based voice application platforms and hosted services, has announced that it has been named as one of only two companies to make Datamonitor’s shortlist of IVR vendors.

Contained in Datamonitor’s new and independently published report, "Decision Matrix: Selecting an IVR Vendor in the Enterprise," the shortlist includes detailed analysis of the IVR provider market. The company highlights two companies, Voxeo and Genesys (News - Alert), confirming that they are the strongest providers.

By exploring the competitive dynamics within the IVR market, the report helps businesses to be able to select a vendor based on technology strength, reputation among current customers and market impact. It also includes detailed analysis of vendors that include Voxeo, Aspect, Avaya, Cisco (News - Alert), Convergys/Intervoice, Genesys and Nortel.

In working on this report, Datamonitor analyzed Voxeo’s Prophecy IVR Platform and Voxeo’s VoiceObjects (News - Alert) application development, deployment and analysis tools. In addition to its strength in IVR, Voxeo also supports Unified Communications and Self-Service application design and delivery across such platforms as traditional voice, Voice over IP, video, instant messaging, SMS and mobile-web devices.
