Microsoft's Tellme Eyes Gold Systems for IVR Solutions

By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributor

Gold Systems and Microsoft subsidiary Tellme reportedly have joined forces to provide enterprise customers with complete voice-driven self-service solutions that deliver high quality customer service at an affordable cost.

By partnering with Tellme, Gold Systems (News - Alert) gains access to a carrier-grade platform to deliver on-demand IVR solutions, high-quality audio production and advanced speech recognition services. Gold Systems and its customers will leverage Tellme’s (News - Alert) network-based platform for IVR applications to enjoy frequent, zero-downtime upgrades, capacity on demand, and geographical redundancy. When combined all these features deliver carrier-grade reliability and contributes to the company’s bottom line.

Terry Gold, president and chief executive officer of Gold Systems, said that his company has contributed to the development and implementation of speech recognition applications accessed through the telephone. This alliance will allow Gold Systems to expand their footprint and serve more customers in need of high quality on-demand solution for their applications.

According to the companies, both partners recently powered Microsoft’s (News - Alert) primary customer service solution at 1-800-MICROSOFT. The project involved the deployment of a Gold System’s custom voice-driven application built on the Tellme platform, which improved call routing accuracy in addition to shortening the average call length for customers.

Tellme’s advanced speech recognition services, professional audio capabilities, and open-standards call management allowed Gold Systems to deliver a streamlined application that helps customers to reach the right representative the first time.

Bob Crissman, general manager of partner programs at Tellme, said that the agreement between the two companies provides customized solutions that make every caller feel like a valued customer.

“We are excited to offer customers the benefits of Gold Systems’ advanced applications for contact center productivity and customer satisfaction,” Crissman said.

Looking forward, both companies will offer a complete range of solutions to their customers that offer a variety of feature custom application development, top-of-the-line human factors design, back-end data integration and a cost-effective on-demand voice services platform.

As TMCnet reported, Tellme recently announced that 10 go-to-market and professional services partners have joined its partner program just four months after the launch. The unique partner program allows the participant companies to bring flexible, cost-efficient speech-based solutions to their enterprise customers.

Crissman said that the current economic downturn has not affected their partners and they are still increasing revenue generation opportunities. By partnering with Tellme, the companies have created cost savings for their customers and significant demand for Tellme’s unique Software-as-a-Service-based solution.
