CRM Seller Open Solutions Announces Thai Reseller Deal
By David Sims, TMCnet Contributing Editor
Open Solutions, which sells technologies for financial services providers, has announced an international reseller partnership agreement with Thailand’s Magic Software, an IT services and FSI vendor.
Through this partnership, MST will offer Open Solutions’ products and services, including “The Complete Banking Solution: DNA,” to its banking client base within the Asian financial services marketplace.
“We have seen an opportunity for Thai financial institutions to benefit from Open Solutions’ banking products,” said Bunrak Saraggananda, chairman and chief executive officer of MST, adding that MST has introduced Open Solutions to several commercial banks.
Open Solutions continues to expand its international reseller network. In 2008, the company announced partnerships with Hildebrando, a Mexican IT corporation with a strong presence in Spain, selling software development, systems integration, business intelligence and outsourcing services. It has also added Senior Solution, a Brazilian software and services provider for the financial market.
Another recent deal with Hewlett-Packard (News - Alert) was intended to let Open Solutions market its enterprise technology products to European, Middle Eastern and African financial institutions. In 2007 Open Solutions formed a partnership with Thailand Equipment Research Co.
Louis Hernandez, Jr., Open Solutions’ chairman and chief executive officer, said the vendor “will continue efforts through 2008 to broaden our Asian reach.”
A couple of weeks ago, Clinton, Massachusetts-based Clinton Savings Bank announced the selection of CRM vendor Open Solutions’ imaged-based item processing product, ISCheck, to streamline its check processing operations.
Established in 1851, Clinton Savings Bank was, bank officials say, “the first bank to open in the Clinton community,” adding that “since its inception, the bank has grown to more than $463 million in assets with more than 34,000 client accounts.”
Clinton Savings already uses The Complete Banking Solution, cView, interactive voice response, loan origination and the financial accounting suite from Open Solutions. “We were in need of a system that would compliment our existing Open Solutions data processing platform,” said Michael Tenaglia, CIO of Clinton Savings Bank.
Open Solutions’ image-enabled item processing system “drives a wide range of check-processing transports and streamlines a financial institution’s operations,” Open officials say.
Tim Clewley, senior vice president and general manager, Imaged Payment Technologies Group, said with imaging technology banks can “implement products to provide the most cost efficient clearing path, provide unlimited access to image archives, combat fraud or increase fee income.”
