Mountain View, California-based Tellme (News - Alert), a Microsoft subsidiary and provider of voice services, today announced the “Tellme Partner Program” for contact center and customer care partners.
Currently available to the Microsoft (News - Alert) partner community, this program allows partner companies to bring “flexible and cost efficient” speech-based solutions to enterprise customers, according to Tellme officials.
This new partner-led sales and delivery model is expected to enable partners to expand their offerings with the latest in IVR
innovation and the benefits of an on-demand service, company officials say.
Officials said that the Partner Program takes Tellme’s caller experience to new markets, enabling partners to experience a “high-touch partner program” that gives them direct access to top speech engineers, UI designers, developers and network operations professionals.
Also, with the help of pautomation capabilities of the Tellme platform, customer care and general practice partners gain the opportunity to market, sell and deliver voice recognition services, they said.
Officials said that next year, company will focus on enabling partners to deliver and manage Tellme-based solutions, which will be done through comprehensive online training curriculums and sessions at both Tellme and Microsoft facilities nationwide.
Tellme is said to improve “how people use the phone to get the information they need every day.”
By combining Internet data and a voice interface, Tellme’s services enable users to say what they want and get it. Some of the services running on Tellme’s platform include business search on 411, information search on 1-800-555-TELL as well as customer service and ordering for large-scale enterprises.
At present, BlackBerry (News - Alert) is accessing Tellme’s ‘on-the-go’ information features. With help from global positioning system technology, TellMe can deliver local information right to an individual’s user’s screen.
In April, Tellme and Fandango, a provider of movie and entertainment destinations, announced the addition of voice-activated movie information for mobile phones.
