TransEngen Enhances its Range of Transaction Processing Solutions

By Carolyn J Dawson, TMCnet Contributor

TransEngen, Inc. recently confirmed that it had branched out and spread payments footprint to include patient kiosks and IVR. This move will now ensure that the company has more ways for patient payment collections and management. TransEngen is committed to increasing its expansion strategy and incorporating additional distribution channels.

In a release, Gregory Morris, TransEngen president and CEO said, “Because we work with the leading processors and offer best of breed patient payment technology in a scalable product we are finding ever increasing ways to deploy our payment technology for providers across the healthcare continuum. In the end, it’s all about making patient collections as easy, stress-free and efficient as possible.”

Payments and post patient transaction information will be now routed real-time by Clearwave Corporation into a provider’s practice management system with the help of TransEngen’s virtual payment portal. Atlanta-based Clearwave also expects to realize enhanced managerial operations, patient contentment and provider revenue cycle management through this collaboration.

Brian Stone, CFO of Clearwave said, “Because patients are now financially responsible for approximately 30% of their visit, it is important for providers to be able to quickly and easily improve time of service collections as well as post visit collections. TransEngen’s ability to work on multiple platforms including numerous practice management systems and processors to link payment functionality and transactional data with a provider’s practice management system is a huge win for our customers.”

Seattle-based Revenue Advantage will be able to collect patient balances over the phone by joining forces with TransEngen. Revenue Advantage will also use TransEngen’s technology to submit transactional data into the provider’s practice management system after processing the payments over the phone.

An enhanced version of Revenue Maximizer has also been released by TransEngen. Providers can now use emails to inform patients regarding their payment standings using the email notification incorporated in the latest release of Revenue Maximizer. Customers of the Revenue Maximizer, which include over 30,000 healthcare providers across the nation can now avail enhanced navigational features, modified patient estimate functionality, along with general system upgrades in the latest release.
