Wavelink Introduces Next Generation of Wavelink Speakeasy
By Anil Sharma, TMCnet Contributor
Wavelink Corporation, a provider of multi-vendor mobile device management, wireless infrastructure management, terminal emulation, voice and mobile application development software, has introduced Wavelink Terminal Emulation 7.3 with enhancements to the Speakeasy (News - Alert) voice solution.
"Wavelink Speakeasy empowers IT departments to quickly and easily add voice support to their terminal emulation applications," said Mikkel Storm, senior product manager of Wavelink, in a statement.
Storm said that in addition to having removed technology and cost barriers, the company now offers the ability for a user's profile to follow them from device to device for greater flexibility and accuracy.
Officials with Wavelink pointed out that a new feature is the addition of Speakeasy monitoring and diagnostics tools in the Wavelink Terminal Emulation client.
This, company officials said, allows users to calibrate the speech recognition engine for their particular hardware and environment and to view a real-time speech confidence level to better diagnose the cause of inaccuracies in recognition.
Thanks to this, administrators can now use the Terminal Emulation Screen Reformatter to improve the efficiency for users providing voice input. Specific fields can be designated for speech-to-text and text-to-speech entry, and the user interface can be tailored to specific users or applications.
TMCnet in September reported that Wavelink Corporation has stated that they have released the Avalanche Managed Services.
The company has claimed that the Avalanche Managed Services frees companies from overextending their own resources to manage the wireless ecosystem. This offering provides proactive, secure management of the wireless ecosystem for subscribers so that they can focus on other business demands.
Avalanche Managed Services eliminates the setup, monitoring and day-to-day administration of the wireless enterprise via a Wavelink expert. This fully managed service takes the pressure off companies to deploy servers and maintain the system themselves, yet provides all the benefits of ensuring their devices are managed efficiently and securely, the company said.
Company officialsl added that Avalanche Managed Services provides effortless implementation of Avalanche’s mobile device management console via a Wavelink specialist. This makes the process of getting users’ enterprise running at optimum levels quick and easy.
