By Vinti Vaid, TMCnet Contributor
XTM International Ltd, an independent software developer, recently announced the launch of XTM Cloud, an industry Open Standards based SaaS (News - Alert) translation solution available for freelance translators, LSP’s and enterprises.
XTM Cloud is a completely online Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) computer assisted translation tool set. It combines translation workflow with translation memory, terminology management and a fully featured translator workbench. The solution has been created to make organizing as well as providing excellent translations simpler and more efficient.
The availability of XTM Cloud offers independent freelance translators with access to XTM for the first time. With this solution, translators can be absolutely independent, work together in real time with other translators or engage clients in the workflow. To make existing translation assets available to people who need them when required, they can be uploaded and managed real time from within a browser. XTM includes a live project dashboard, unique file handling features and a well designed translator workbench.
XTM Cloud is scalable. It has proven enterprise credentials with a lot of LSPs and enterprises already taking advantage from the intuitive and great features.
XTM Cloud has a low-cost subscription model. Prices start at €10/month or €108/year. Translators, agencies and businesses around the globe can buy XTM Cloud via credit card through XTM International’s online purchase portal, www.xtm-intl.com/xtmcloud.
Users of XTM Cloud get a fully customizable customer-facing web shop that’s directly connected to XTM with added features like the optional XTM Portal. This allows customers to upload files, get a quote, pay online and check project status. The target documents can be downloaded by the customer after the translation is completed.
XTM Cloud users will be able to connect with each other in a new online community, XTM CloudSource, later in the year. The new service will also allow translators to register their skills and availability and look for new opportunities with LSPs and clients. It will also enable language service buyers to connect with duly qualified vendors.
